Really buttery, pigmented, beautiful shades. Used them for creating several pastels paintings in Impressionist style. Only issue, pastels are so soft, they crumble under slightest of heavy touch. So it takes a while to get accustomed and understand how much pressure yeilds desired results.

Created many pastel artworks with these and for a first time user, I really loved it. It felt the same as painting but with my fingers. Colours blend well and can also be laid in layers in case of mistakes. Shared couple of artworks that were created with these soft pastels. The Brustro toned Kraft paper is not so great, else my artwork could have been a masterpiece!Go for it before jumping into Sennelier pastels.
