Bought this specifically for Biryani of "size" 1 Kg that we get from market. Ours is 4 people family, all biryani lovers. Our radiant cooktop has a heating base of 24 cm and a total width of 28 cm; so, we needed this pot will be ideal for us. You need to leave nearly 40% of the pot's capacity empty (at the top) to hold the steam. So, for 1 Kg biryani, this is a perfect pot. And, it slow-cooked our first biryani perfectly, too.
