First of all, they give instructions to NOT TO CLEAN WITH STEEL SCRUB, but you can not clean it with foam scrubs like Scotch Brite or Gala etc. Because after making tea or boiling milk there left over is hard to remove from this heavy vessel.But IF YOU CLEAN IT WITH STEEL SCRUB, THE BLACK COATING WILL START LEAVE.So it's not better to give oneself tension about the coating and colour of utensils when you are already busy managing your life and family.Better purchase the utensils which don't have washing instructions to avoid warrenty.

Pan is good in terms of height, material, quality and durability. The handle is also sturdy. Only problem is with the pouring edge, the shape is not designed appropriately to support the smooth pour without any spill. That's why I can't use it for making tea or any other preparations except plain water use.
