The steel is heavy and of good quality. There is a little problem when we have to close the cooker. You need to apply pressure on the opposite side of the cover in order to close it. If the cooker is hot and on the gas we need to be really careful. Otheriwse it's a good product . The cover has a dip in the middle so extra water or liquid doesn't flow down the sides.

We have been using Prestige cookers since a long time. Our experience was pretty good. They last long too.A pressure cooker is one gadget we use everyday. We were looking for a small one. When I saw the Swach ad on TV, I thought why food should leak at all. Then I was told that small cookers leak around the lid or near the weight. So the indented lid prevents leaks falling on the stove. The stainless steel material makes cleaning easier. We are new to the pressure indicator which pops up when it is not safe to open the lid. After using for a few weeks, we noted that if food particles enter the pressure indicator, there will be a leak of pressure. So if you notice leakage of steam, switch off the heat, open the lid and check the pressure indicator for obstruction.The festival offer made the deal sweeter. The ladies in the apartment bought six of 2litre size and four of 3 litre size. Most liked the product.
