The flange which firmly attaches the handle with strong stainless steel rivets is uniquely designed to not interfere with the cooking surface and to hence maximise the cooking area allowing you to make a very large dosa or several uttapam or cutlets at one time. The 4.88 mm extra thick heavy gauge metal ensures fast and even heat conduction and retains heat well. The Dosa Tava Instruction Manual has 11 tested recipes for the Dosa Tava including four varieties of dosa uttapam cutlets and rolls. The Dosa Tava is suitable for domestic gas and radiant electric cooktops. I can actually make dosas without a drop of oil. Of course with oil it will be crispier and tastier. But for health conscious people no concerns dosas not getting stuck to tawa. Easy to clean

Its actually a premium dosa tawa. Superb crisp dosas can be made. Use it as said in the manual and it will last long. When making dosas no need to apply oil first. Spread the dosa batter and then only sprinkle oil/ghee as required. Else the batter will not spread properly. The product is a bit heavy but you will the product once you buy it and the cost will not then bother you.
