Glass is way better than using plastic for storing food so I bought this and the other reason being that I can use this in microwave. I wouldn't have been able to do that if it was made of steel. Not value for money. It's expensive for what it offers but definitely a good quality product. Slips from soapy hands. I broke one of the cups during wash. So it's not easy to maintain.
