The quality was good, but I think there is a problem with the design of the item. Small amounts of Rice is spilling from sides and I have to regularly clean the platform to keep it clean......extrawork??

Pros: -Looks fancy Cons: - Just very bad design, rice or other grains slips in between the sliders. Grains dispensed is not consistent due to clumsy sliding design. Grain drops through if loaded fully even when slider is unused - Bottom hollow part is exclusively designed for cockroaches and rice bugs to build a city for themselves, also load on top and hollow bottom makes it easy to topple - cleaning is a nightmare as the support grooves inside are hard to reach for humans but safe as gated society for bugs Throwing this to garbage!

Like most products from Signoraware, this too is good quality wise and the product seems sturdy. it is definitely not airtight but close. This too has a feature (as advertised) of half a cup of rice. I haven't tried to hold powder stuff. for Rice, it is good.
