I was recommended this lotion by my dermatologist. I have frequent acne breakouts and consequently, my skin has lots of dark acne spots. This lotion works like a charm on my skin. It hydrates the skin really well, although one pro-tip is to use only a pea size drop first. This product is intensely hydrating but at first application you might find that your skin looks oily, don't feel put off, just give it a few minutes, it absorbs completely without leaving any oily feeling. Especially, if you are layering multiple skin products, give it a few minutes to get absorbed in your skin, otherwise you may end up getting an oily residue. I have been using this product for the past 6 months and here's my take on it: Pros - It is water based lotions that provides excellent hydration without feeling oily - It contains niacinamide which is clinically proven to reduce inflammation and redness of skin and in the long run also helps minimize the appearance of pores. It also helps in skin lightening thus helping minimize the acne scars. - Acne has reduced and it works well with other skincare products as well. - I have also noticed an improvement in some secondary skin conditions I had like, peeling skin around the tip of my nose. - No fragrance; I personally am fine with fragrance but for people with serious acne or skin sensitivity this is good news as it prevents irritation of skin. - Alcohol free; again see the previous point. Alcohol is generally added for fragrance and irritates and dries the skin. - A little goes a long way, one bottle lasts me around 2 months or slightly more. Cons - In humid or hot weather use a very little amount because it can appear oily if used too much. - Takes a few mins to get fully absorbed; especially in hot weather. - A little expensive but I guess that's because it is not a generally marketed lotion and more like a medicated lotion. Overall very good for people who have adult acne like me or generally have sensitive skin. I have noticed a lot of improvement in my skin and acne condition. Go for it.
