This works same as a plucked however instead of plucking 2-3 hair at a time it plucks more hair. Just bend spring with gentle pressure between fingers. This product is really good. I used it for my upper lips and it worked better than any thing I have used so far. No doubt waxing is the best option but if you cant afford or keep buying a wax kit all the time this thing is an essential lifesaver.

Good product. Very handy to remove hair by your own and no more hassle of going to the parlor to get my upper lip hair threaded every month. It is quite painful at start but would get used to it once the tool travels across the face to remove hair. I would suggest to apply some talcum powder to that area like the do in the parlor.

1. Effectiveness Takes out hair from the smallest minuscule one to the dark thick one. 2. Travel Friendly & Time/Cost Effective The spring is long and thick like a pen, convenient to carry it along and no need waste time & money in parlours. 3. Degree of Pain In threading, hair is pulled out in the direction of its growth whereas with this spring, hair gets pulled out in the opposite direction (like in waxing), hence pain is a little more than what you experience in threading. It's just a matter of getting used to it. If you can tolerate waxing ( which is awfully painful), you can certainly tolerate this. Since it pulls out hair in opposite direction of growth, people with sensitive skin can be prone to bumps or reddish-ness which GOES AWAY in few minutes. Even with threading there is a certain degree of reddish after-effect/bumps. So, this is quite normal. How-To-Use Those who claim that it is useless / hair breaks instead of getting pulled out of its follicle, probably do not know how it should be used. One needs to bend the spring in Inverse 'U' shape and twist it while moving it in the opposite direction of hair. Practice makes perfect. There are many videos available online that teach you how to remove hair with Spring. Anyone with even an iota of brain can work it. This one comes with a mini manual too with guidelines for use, Do's and Don'ts. I already have two of them, one for home and the other one always in my travel pouch. Warning: Definitely Not For Eyebrows Though.
