  • SMALL SIZE: The menstrual disc available in this pack is of a small size. It measures 60 mm by 67 mm and holds a capacity of 30 ml of the menstrual fluid. It is more suitable for those with a lower cervix.
  • COMFORTABLE FIT: Sirona Reusable Menstrual Disc fits you snugly by creating a natural seal at the base of the cervix. Unlike menstrual cups discs do not use suction or the vaginal muscles to stay in place.
  • SAFE & HYGIENIC: Like the menstrual cup the disc is also made of medical-grade silicone and therefore can be sterilised with a cup wash and/or steam. This disc is phthalate and toxin free making it extremely safe and hygienic to use.
  • LONG LASTING PROTECTION: With the Sirona Menstrual Disc one is assured of rash-free stain-proof periods without any leaks! Period protection lasts for a period of up to 8 hours comfortably after which the disc can simply be removed washed and reused.
  • ECONOMICAL: A single menstrual disc can simply be sterilised and reused and can last for up to 10 years. This makes the menstrual disc an economical and sustainable alternative to pads and tampons for managing periods.

Disadvantages
I’ve been using a medium sized menstrual cup for the last 7 years and decided to give the disc a try. Got the small size which is super smooth and easy to insert and remove, however, I’ve had leaks all the time. So I’ve gone back to using the Sirona menstrual cup again. I just don’t feel confident with the disc anymore.

Insertion and removal is great, but always leaks.

Advantages
First time i tried i was happy, no leakage... but for next periods whenever i tried it's leaking, whenever i go to pee have to lock it again (auto dump method has it' own con, if moving in some posture it disc shifts down n leaks immediately ,i can't use it when i am out)well in matter of comfort this is better than cup but i am going back to my cup only for safety purpose.

If you're choosing a reusable period product and haven't tried anything yet, a cup might be easier to get the hang of. I decided to try the disc after using menstrual cups for about two years. The cup I used was amazing and leaks were extremely rare but I wanted to try a disc because of the larger capacity and the fact that the cup I have is a bit on the firmer side, so there's some discomfort while putting it in or taking it out. I ordered a small cup even though my cervix is average to high and I have used it only on a non period day so far.Insertion was difficult the first time, should be easier on the actual period. The smaller size and softer material when folded made it more comfortable and when I had inserted it properly I couldn't feel it all, much like any other menstrual cup.Pros:Softer, smaller size when folded for insertionGood quality silicone and packaging, worth it for the price. (499 when I ordered)Cons:Bad finishing. See image. These little dots were there on both sides. Couldn't really feel the seam though, but definitely not smooth all around like I was expecting. Will update on leaks and such when I try it out later.Update:Used it on my period and it works really well. First day trying it was a heavy flow day. It was inserted wrongly at first (basically you need to push it towards the back and sort of slide along the back wall to ensure the cervix is inside the cup and not squished behind it - period Nirvana has a good video on this). It took me a couple of tries and there was leaking all the while but what finally worked was a standing position with my knees higher than the hips and directing the cup backwards. Squatting may also work for you. When it did sit correctly it was a joy to use. No sensation, none of the weird suction feeling, easy to take out. And auto dumping worked well for me. On the heaviest day it did leak slightly when getting up after a three-hour nap, so it may be better to combine it with period panties. I think I'll prefer to use this when I'm out of the house since auto dumping works for me. There's a little more mess when removing than with cups but less discomfort because it's narrower and softer than the cup i use, and also not gonna have that weird suction release feeling when you take it out. Also, it's easier to boil because you can just ensure a little air bubble is inside it and it'll float on the surface rather than settling at the base of the pan which scares me a little because i think it might get burned ( logically, that would never happen unless the pan goes dry, but it's still a fear). The main con is the leaking. I wouldn't like it without some backup, maybe a panty liner or period panties because it did leak a bit. And overnight use i think I'd prefer the cup because it would actually hold more blood.

Disadvantages
The small size is still too big for me. I tried to put it in multiple times but it would just get pushed out on its own. The ridges are too tough and hard to bend so it won't stay tucked in behind the pelvic bone. After some tries it started to hurt. I had previously bought the MYKI disc which is softer and I would at least be able to tuck it in. Still too big for me so I decided to try Sirona.Guess I'll stick to cups for now.

This worked so well for me. I'm used to using menstrual cups and pads so i was scared to test this product but the insertion was so simple. Removal is a bit difficult at first but honestly after using it once or twice you should get the hang of it. I wish I had gotten a smaller size however because this one doesn't fit properly so before buying please make sure you're aware of what size you need.
