Peanut or Shenga chutney is a mildly spicy traditional side dish, the origins of which lie in the Indian sub-continent. Made by grinding roasted peanuts, peanut chutney has been prepared and consumed as a condiment in Indian households since olden times. It can be served as an accompaniment with any Indian bread, roti, parathas, dosas or even steamed rice with ghee and idli. It goes well with most South Indian breakfast items.
