I just want to tell people that this paste is for Chinese cooking and Not Middle Eastern. So not for Baba Ganoush or Halwa but yes for Dan Dan noodles and Tan Tan soup. middle eastern Tahini is made from untoasted or mildly toasted sesame seeds you can tell because it will look white or very light beige. Chinese sesame paste is made from deeply toasted hulled sesame needs and in brown in colour. It is supposed to be slightly bitter for the cuisine. I think NourCery provides stuff for East Asian and South East Asian Cooking. So please use for middle eastern dishes only after informing yourself.
