It's not at all black, just a darker shade of chocolate. It completely ruined my black theme cake. It is coarse cocoa and you can feel the sandy texture in the frosting while eating. Not suggested.

I just made a semi chocolate / cake topping (dark) and it was supremely delicious !!! I used Fresh home made cream from Amul full cream milk red packet (cream from 4-5 packets) you can add quantity to your liking as I added rougly 3 medium spoons, little Patanjali ghee (instead of butter) 2-3 spoons, sugar, hot water and 4 medium sized spoons of this chocolate powder, mix till it becomes smooth as silk (it attains the consistency pretty quickly) and it was magic. The consistency was so smooth, it reminded me of luxury Lindt chocolates. Just try out the ingredients I mentioned and I guarantee you will taste a piece of heaven and forget all other commercial chocolates and cakes from bakeries. Ps you can use little vanilla essence also to enhance flavour.
